The solid Oak Ashby bed has at its’ heart a unique steel frame, bolted to the inside of the solid oak side rails. This frame has no need of extra support legs which can catch in carpets when the bed is moved or slip on modern shiny wooden floors, causing the bed to collapse.

The low foot end allows you to sit on the end of the bed (mattress thickness permitting).

The tone of the oak makes it ideal for any bedroom throughout the home.

Also perfect for any Contract accommodation providers looking for an upgrade on a metal based frame.

It leaves a dent in the mattress. Once you fold up the sofa, it flattens out a bit. But I don't know how long that will last. Maybe in a few months there will be a hole in the mattress.

Although it was the right size in all dimensions it was not thick enough. It was more like a mattress topper it was not firm enough we actually sank into the sofa and was uncomfortable to sit on you could feel the bars through it. The foam used had no density in it.
